New After School Hitting Programs

“Get Ready for Your Season Now!”

Eich's Instructor Mike Huber will lead a one hour hit around after school. Coach Huber will set up drill stations that will help hitters hit for power and consistent contact. Stations will be set up for hitters to work on all facets of hitting including inside and outside pitch work. Coach Huber will also set up some fun hitting games and contests and will provide some great tips on how to hit the ball harder and farther!

Confidence Training with Mike Huber!!!
 
Each class will teach anyone how to identify any blocks, fears, and weaknesses and combat them with simple problem solving tools that will help them think clearheaded, overcome obstacles, and go for their personal victories with confidence!
Lead Confidence Trainer Mike (Hubie Magic) Huber has over 20 years of motivating players of all ages as a coach, teacher, and professional speaker. He has a master degree in Sports Wellness at Chicago State University.
Syllabus includes 10 weeks of classes. It is recommended to take 5-10 sessions for optimal results.
Students can take any class on the syllabus of their choosing as each class consistently teaches students to SEE, BELIEVE, TRUST, CONTINUE, and FINISH!
 
Session scheduling includes:
-Individual sessions
-Team or coaches training
-School Assembly/Large organization.

Meet our Baseball Instructors

Sean Smith
Coach Smith has played with the Pittsburgh Pirates (00-04), White Sox (05-07), and most recently in 2010 with the Washington Nationals organization.  Winner of 5 Championships including one with the Sox, 2 with the Pirates, and 2008, 2009 in the Atlantic League. Coach Smith specializes in speed and agility, hitting and fielding.  Sean is a Center fielder with career highs as a leadoff man 15 home runs, 52 stolen bases 92 runs scored. He has been giving professional lessons for over 8 years.  Coach Smith is eager to work with today’s youth to give back to the game.


Ryan Zink
In completing his 5th season in professional baseball, Ryan Zink has first hand training stemming from some of the best coaches in all of baseball. 

Drafted in the 17th round by the New York Yankees, Zink spent 3 years in their farm system, while developing skills in, arguably, the most competitive system in baseball.  During his tenure, his teams made two playoff runs, while winning the 2010 Florida State League Championship in 2010 with the Tampa Yankees (A+). Zink has spent the past two years in the Frontier League making the playoffs in 2011 with the Southern Illinois Miners and winning the Frontier League Championship with the River City Rascals in 2010. 

A Madison, WI native, Ryan was named the Wisconsin Baseball Player of the Year in 2003 and the #1 professional prospect by Baseball America.  Drafted in the 47th round by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2003, Ryan elected to pass on the opportunity to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago where he led teams to 4 Horizon League Championships and 2 NCAA D1 Regional berths.

Coach Shawn Jarmuz
Shawn spent five years as the top assistant coach at Carroll College, now University, in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  In his time at Carroll, Shawn not only served as the top assistant, but also as hitting coach, catching coach, defensive coach as well as recruiter.  While at Carroll, Shawn helped lead the Pioneers to national rankings in four offensive categories including 13th in the Nation in team batting average, 4th in the Nation in homeruns, 7th in the Nation in Slugging percentage and 21st in the Nation in runs scored.  Shawn also led Carroll’s hitters to score the 3rd most runs in a single game in NCAA Division III history (44).   Shawn also coached the 1997 Wisconsin 18 and under AAU state Championship team.
 Prior to coaching at Carroll, Shawn played collegiately at Cardinal Stritch University, where he led the team in on-base percentage as a senior at .615.  Shawn graduated from Cardinal Stritch with a degree in Sociology and later earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin. 
 

Shawn has been giving private lessons for over 15 years and likes to focus on the mental part of the game as well as the physical.

Coach Mike Huber
Mike Huber (a.k.a Hubie Magic) has worked with high school, college, and travel teams for over 25 years. He specializes in turning a hitter’s career around immediately! On average, Mike can get individual hitters to improve their average from 30 -150 pts! As a team training specialist he can improve a team’s batting average from 50-90 pts. Along with more hits, he has helped set records in slugging percentage, homeruns, runs, walks, and on base percentage!
As a peak performance expert in hitting, he can train a team in-season or out-of-season within 1-3 weeks time! For coaches, serious individuals, or group training we can train within days!
Besides his elite training as a hitting specialist, Hubie is also a top-notch Confidence Trainer and teaches individual/group/team sessions to those who want to learn how to "expand their minds" and go for their personal victories with an increased amount of passion and vigor!

Meet our Softball Instructors...
Coach Sarah Blowers
Coach Sarah is an experienced hitting and catching instructor from Joliet and is now available to help your daughter excel to the next level on the field. She played travel softball for the New Lenox Power. Sarah is an Alumni of Joliet West where she played Varsity Softball. She is currently in her third year at Aurora University studying Athletic Training and playing softball. During last year’s spring season, AU went 33-11 where they took 2nd in the NAC with a record of 21-3. Sarah has enjoyed giving private lessons for the past several years in both catching and hitting. She believes that having solid fundamentals, a willingness to work hard and a positive attitude will lead athletes to achieving their personal goals on and off the field.

Chris Morris
Chris Morris played Baseball at Carl Sandburg High school for four years.  During high school and college, Chris umpired girls travel softball 14-U through 18-U.  He played baseball for Monmouth College all four years and graduated in 2000.  Chris taught at Plainfield Central High School in the P.E. Department for eight years, and he was the assistant Varsity coach for five years.  Currently, he is the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Plainfield East High School and teaches Drivers Education.  He has been coaching for the Beverly Bandits travel softball program for nine years.  His Bandits 16-U team has won a National Championship and has finished very high at the National level continuously throughout the years in ASA and the ASA GOLD, which are the highest levels of softball.  Many of the Bandits go on to play at the next level of competition.  Please call Eich’s to schedule an appointment with Coach Morris.
