There are basic things that factor into the cost of embroidery. The
size of the design. How many stitches in the design. If a design or
company logo needs to be set-up and digitized. Because there are so many variables in quoting embroidery all jobs are
quoted individually.
The following is provided as a guideline to help you estimate the
costs.
In general most designs include up to 8,000 stitches. An average left
chest embroidered design is about 7,000 stitches. Average cost is between
$5.00 - $9.00 for each item. Because a large part of the cost associated
with embroidery is the setup time the higher the quantity of items with
the same design, the lower the price for each item. It is wise to order as
many items at once as is possible.
Additional personalization: An embroidered name, is between
$5.00 - $8.00.

Set-up - Digitizing Business & Company Logos
Digitizing is the process by which an embroidery artist turns a design,
logo, or original artwork into stitches and creates instructions which
tell an embroidery machine what to stitch on a garment. This is a fairly
complex operation, it takes training and practice to become a master of
the art. Each garment has certain properties that will effect the way the
stitches will pull and push the garment. A digitizer must be conscious of
these properties in order to produce a high quality design. It is more
complex than just scanning in the image and pressing a button. Some
designs are so complex, it may take days of constant work to complete. In
simple terms, a design is created stitch by stitch with a mouse on a
computer screen, as if sewing by hand. This can take quite a bit of time
and effort to create. Digitizing costs are a one-time fee, unless an edit
or resize is requested. After a design is digitized, it is saved for use
in the future with Eich's Sports, Inc..
Digitizing charges: $15.00 per 1,000 stitches.
Prices are quoted from camera ready artwork. We will accept art work
any way you have it or we can assign you a graphic artist to work with.
The thing to remember about art work is that the higher the resolution the
better (200 - 300 dpi). Art work at low resolution (72 dpi) will most
likely have to be reworked. We would prefer the artwork to be sent via
email to eichssports@yahoo.com
with a graphic file attachment in a .tiff, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, or .pdf
format. You will be contacted quickly with more detailed information.
If requested an embroidered sample stitch-out can be sent via email
before going into production. If you feel the design could use some edits,
please call or email us. We can make the necessary changes. The production
may NOT be started until the sample has been approved.
Logo with an Embroidered Design
Company logos usually need to be digitized and set-up. Choosing an
embroidered stock design can make embroidery more affordable. There will
only be a one-time set-up fee of $25.00.
